Project Stats

Client vertical: Ecommerce Safety equipment for hospitals & infividuals

Ad Budget: $30K /mo

Campaign Goals: Increase ROAS and revenue

Results: 32% ROAS increase,  125% revenue growth

The Task

The task was to increase revenue without raising spending.

The owner noted, “My spend has gotten out of control compared to sales. My campaigns are running at about 40% efficiency.”

The Process

I follow a systematic approach for Google Ads optimization projects:

  • Audit the account to Identify successful and unsuccessful areas
  • Prioritize and implement improvements individually
  • Proactively monitor the account

Even after performance improves, continuous management is necessary for maintaining and enhancing improvements.

Additional Challenge

I found a key issue before making changes: incorrect conversion tracking in our sales channels.

Correct conversion tracking is vital for Google Ads account optimization.

The Process

After fixing conversion tracking and establishing a baseline, I began implementing changes. The account was using a combination of search campaigns, shopping campaigns, and display remarketing campaigns.

For search campaigns, I fine-tuned ad groups to target only successful products and segmented branding ads and keywords into a separate campaign.

For the remarketing campaign, I ensured it was only serving ads to website visitors to avoid unnecessary spend.

I paid special attention to the shopping campaigns, optimizing product titles, descriptions, and images, and refining bidding.

I started with manual bidding and then shifted to automatic bidding (Target ROAS) to further boost performance.

Results

Seven months in, both revenue and ROI from Google Ads have more than doubled—an increase of 125% in revenue and 132% in ROI.

This upward trend continues.

Closing Thoughts

In hindsight, the business owner was right when they said the account was working at less than half its potential.

Working together with business owners is valuable.

They know their business well, and I bring expertise in Google Ads.

By combining our skills and knowledge, we can can great results, which always feel rewarding!
